List has 200 young companies, including 22 from India
HYDERABAD: Hyderabad-based Maytas Infra Ltd has emerged the only infrastructure company from India to find a place on the World Economic Forum’s global growth companies list.
The list has 200 young companies from the world over and there are 22 Indian companies including Maytas on the list. The member companies are considered to be an elite group with a potential to change the global economic landscape.
The membership is likely to help Maytas explore international markets. “Maytas Infra will now be recognised as a growing company worldwide on a bigger global platform -expanding more rapidly than ever before, yielding dynamic new business opportunities, improving infrastructure and generating employment around the world,” the company said in a statement.
The WEF provides these select companies with the support required while navigating through new markets, cultures, geographies and regulatory systems. It also brings them together to work on projects that improve people’s lives and address global challenges.
“This reflects positively on our whole team at Maytas Infra and has provided us with further growth opportunities. It has most essentially given us a platform to work with global leaders towards a better tomorrow,” P K Madhav, CEO, Maytas Infra, said.
Other Indian companies on the list are ACC, Amalgamated Bean Coffee, Apollo Hospitals, CMS Computers, Crompton Greaves and Dabur India, among others.
